A 2" suspension lift does not (!) provide enough clearance for 33" tires. 3" is the bare minimum with 4" recommended for offroad use of those 33" tires. At the minimum you should also install a 1" body lift which with a 2" suspension lift will provide 3" of clearance. Sep 19, 2011 · There is a lot of material on this forum regarding fitting 33" tires on a wrangler, but basic list would include a 3-4 in lift kit, Body lift/motor mount lift or slip yoke eliminator, and more likely than not regearing your axles. Plus wheel spacers or rims with less offset if you plan of running 33x12.5 inch tires.

I have the 3:73 with 33" tires and have no problems, sure I'd love to have 4:10 or 4:56 gears but I'd just start snapping axles and such.
