If it's in a pocket, definitely go with the LCP Max over the Glock 42. There's a substantial size difference relating to pocket carry. If you plan on IWB or OWB carry, I'd suggest the P365 as already mentioned, as it's the same size as the Glock, but in 9mm.Fits my hand much better because of the extra size; a real pleasure to shoot. G-42 was also about $200 less than the Kahr P380. Overall, I like the Glock 42 a little better than the Kahr P-380; mostly because softer shooting. The Glock is a 380 that's actually feasible to shoot at the range.

I am hoping Ruger addresses this issue soon with a solution, not just offering customers an extra magazine.My Glock 42 had plenty enough issues for me to get something else. Additionally is just an awkward gun, far bigger than an LCP but same capacity and only a bit more shootable. P365, you can get the extended mags that function perfectly and give you that improved grip, not to mention the substantial capacity increase.I have the LCP II, 42 and P365 in .380. No contest LCP2 7+1 capacity great in pocket with hogue grip nice shooter. 42 bulky but 6+1 capacity. P365 .380 sweet, flat smooth shooter 12+1. Best .380 Ammo for Target Practice & Plinking. 5. So I would argue the Max is better at the range and better as a carry than the LCP ii. It is an evolutionary improvement and not a revolutionary one, the LCP ii is still a great gun.
