The originals came without the ejector blocks and they tried to stick us with a $50 upcharge for the install of the block. Finally, they installed the blocks and raised their price a little. Anyone with DSA receiver issues is certainly behind the times. They have the best options & retail prices on the market.The SAR 48 is a nice rifle for an entry level pre ban FAL. Be careful not to get a 4800 though, that was a post import ban weapon and many have been reconfigured to pre ban form. All FN imported FALs are pre ban. I've owned probably 10 of these and you should be very pleased with them.What I think I know for sure is it's on a L1A1 lower with an inch bolt and bolt carrier and the upper is a SAC import from the 90's with the import mark in the magwell. Machine for the metric 'lip' an indent on the tabs, then solder/braze the tabs over the 'lip'. Probably have to make a jig of sorts for correct alignement - do a couple, trade the rest for the real thing.

The older Federal Top Guns have a wound paper base wad in the bottom and have less volume in the hull than the newer hulls with the plastic basewad. The claim they are good for buckshot and slugs.
