It would shut off. I did do the Uconnect software update Thursday morning but this is the first time had the problem with the start. Turning on the engine is the first step. Then, hold the foot brake securely. The guy told me that new for 2008 they order a factory remote starter kit and replace my original 2 key fobs with new ones. He said the package cost $389 (canadian dollars) plus install.
whooster171. i agree with above. usually you just hit the start button twice and it should start. but, if it still doesn't work, I'd try a new battery. i've had to replace batteries in remote starters in the past. good luck!
