We provide an ideal setting for students and learners at all levels to engage with novel ideas, thorough scholarship and creative research in all of the discipline’s subfields, as well as in an array of interdisciplinary areas of inquiry.In fact, 37 subfields within political science fall below the 2013 average number of women in academia. Thus, gender disparity remains a systemic problem: 37 of 44 total (reported) subfields still fail to reach parity.Indeed, diffusion scholarship has rapidly advanced in all three subfields of empirical political science (Graham, Shipan, and Volden Reference Graham, Shipan and Volden 2013). This growth makes the analysis of diffusion scholarship timely, but it also makes this topic especially ripe for analyzing cross-subfield scholarship.
